Ours Birthday!!!

Both of our 'lunar' birthday falls on the same day and ours birthday are only 1 days apart. So usually both of us will celebrate together. Although is just a simple cake cutting celebration, but both of us are already very happy especially Eugene. This time round, his gugu bought the cake which he like the cartoon very much! Although is a cake for both of us, but it seems more like his cake instead...but anyway we are really happy on that day!

Initially, we wanted to let him celebrate his 3yr old birthday at the childcare together with his classmates, but we are too late as we need to inform the CC in advance. So we decide next year's birthday will be the one.

Starting Childcare in 2009

2008 ended and a New 2009 started. It had been months since Eugene's blog is been updated.

For a new start, there a total new environment waiting for Eugene to explore himself.

We had decided to enrol Eugene into a childcare centre as we hope that he can learn more and be more independent by himself.

1st & 2nd day (05-06 Jan 09) :

Eugene started his childcare life under my companionship as i dun want him to be scare upon arriving in a total new environment without anyone he know by his side. Upon at the centre, there are many children around his age and as well as those much more older than him. He likes to play with the older boys which he call them 'Gor Gor' and dun want to mix around with the children who are in the same class with him. He tend to run away to the class where the older boys are and the teacher will come and get him back into his class again. I then bring him back home around evening time.

3rd Day ( 07 Jan 09):

MIL bring him to the centre today. The teacher even ask him to say Goodbye to my MIL and then bring him inside to put his schoolbag and drinking bottle. MIL then peek from outside into the classroom, Eugene is inside there looking at storybook with his teacher. MIL decided to bring him home in the afternoon although should be a full day at the centre. She afraid Eugene can't adapt so fast to the environment....when teacher bring him out, he immediately cried when he saw MIL.

4th Day (08 Jan 09):

Today i am sick but i still followed him secretly behind while MIL bring him to the centre. I tried not to let him see me as i afraid he might want me to accompany him into the class. Once inside the class, he cried after putting his bag and bottle and start looking for MIL. His teacher carried and pacify him and he stopped crying after a while.

12pm - MIL asked me to go and see how Eugene in the centre. Once i reached the centre, i peeked from the windows and saw him eating his lunch but he was crying while eating his lunch. I decided i should observe a bit more before i decided to bring him back. He then took his bath....but he keep on crying when teacher asked him to nap. He just keep on crying for mummy and MIL. I then decided is time to bring him back as the previous day he had fever after he returned from the centre. Teacher was asking him to say Goodbye to all other teachers but once he saw me, same lah, he cried immediately.

5th Day ( 09 Jan 09) :

Everything happened just the same just that he keep on saying he dun want to go to school. He cried on the way to school. But this time when MIL went to fetch him at 12plus, Eugene form teacher said dun bring him back so early since he is not crying. Let him try to nap here so that he can adapt more to the enviroment. So Eugene nap at the centre and went home at 4plus.

REALLY HOPE THAT HE CAN ADAPT TO THE CHILDCARE LIFE SOON!

Fruits & Vegetables Harvesting 13.09.2008

Last nite, hb told me that there will be a fruits and vegetables harvesting at the opposite block multi-carpark rooftop at tomorrow morning 9am. The RC had been planting fruits and vegetables since more than 2 years ago and every week they will open up for the residents to go and view. This time round is time for harvesting.
We decided to bring Eugene there to take a look. This will not be the first time that Eugene went there.....he did went for the first hatvesting when he was very small that time so he dun have any memories regarding it. Hope he has a good time there tomorrow.....


Early in the morning, it started to rain and we thought that the harvesting might be cancelled. But as the time came nearer, the rain became smaller and hb saw that there are many residents at the rooftop there so we also went there although it is still drizzling. Upon reaching there, the RC chairman already showing the residents how to prepare aloe vera ( very big one) and of course, fruits tasting there. We decided to go and look around showing and telling Eugene whatever we can see there.

One of the few fruits we see , pomelo is one of them but not for harveting now as it is still very small. We told Eugene that fruit is call "pomelo" and he will repeat after us....then after he saw papaya. The funny thing is after that we came back to the pomelo , he go and call it papaya...hahaha....)

Anyway, i can see that Eugene is quite happy to see so many things and he also get the chance to have a feel of the fruits. We also brought back many harveting items.

A trip to the airport 18.07.2008

Eugene's grandpa (my father) was going to China for a business trip, so we decided to send him to the airport as well as to have our dinner together at the airport. We wanted to let Eugene take a look at the aeroplanes.Upon reaching the airport, we went to the foodcourt at T3 for dinner before we went to walk around T3. We walked past the NTUC just after the foodcourt and Eugene took a liking to the lego car. Grandpa decided to buy one for him and this is the one.

Eugene knew the names

Eugene sounds very happy when MIL ask him to read out the Chinese name of the animals on the chart to me. MIL will point to the animal and he will read out, however he need to be remind of some of the first word before he can read out the whole. For me, i try to ask him to read out on his own. He already knew all the names of the animals shown here.

Hopefully he will also learn the English pronounciation of the animals soon.

Learning and Playing

Eugene had started to learn and read more words when people teach him. He got 3 charts at my MIL's house and he had learnt to memorise the aminals chart. I am quite happy that he knew how to read them, he better at memorise Chinese words more than the English alphabets. Now he also like to repeat what he heard from the TV programmes and advertisement.

Yesterday, i am quite happy that he knew how to say 'Mummy i luv you'. Last time i used to teach him but he never want to say. So yesterday, i took his pacifier and want him to repeat after me so that i will then return him his pacifier. Surprisely, when i said the words (which i wanted him to repeat after me) : 'Mummy, i' but before i finish my line....he said " Mummy, i luv you!" and when i want him to say again , he said "i luv Mummy". I AM SO HAPPY WHEN I HEARD THIS.

Potty Training

Finally, Eugene is potty-trained although i can't said is 100% successful but the credit goes to my MIL. For so long we had been wanting Eugene to learn how to pee and poo in the potty, but he dun seems to like the idea of doing his business in it. But now my MIL had succeeded. For many times, MIL did not put on the diaper on him after Eugene took his bath. She will tell him to go and pee in the potty, however it failed when Eugene pee on the floor and then he will ask my MIL to go and see. Once, he even poo on his short, because of this case my MIL scolded and beat him on his buttocks...of course what he does is only cry lor. For many times, he still does not want to poo in the potty and if he want to poo, he will go and take his diaper and ask MIL to put on for him. So once my MIL put on the diaper for him, later he will poo in it.

After weeks passed, i think he know what he does are wrong after getting scolding for many times. However, he will wait until he is very 'urgent' then he will pee or poo so sometimes not in time to the potty.

An incident which happen at my MIL's place is she told me is once he was very urgent until he haven't really pulled down his short and he quickly sit on the potty. Luckily, MIL quickly got him up and pulled down his short.

Another recent incident which happen on 10th Aug is both hb and i was watching the olympic games in the living room and this Eugene was hiding in my bedroom. Suddenly he came running to me and said to me in chinese 'Yi Da Li', i thought he was referring to the olympic games as i did said 'Yi Da Li' (Italy) but then i saw him touching his short so immediately pooing came to my mind. So he is not referring to the olympic games but is his poo. Alamak, he poo on his short. We all had a good laugh :)

So now we still training him so that he can be fully potty-trained.

GuGu's Birthday 09.08.2008

Today is Singapore 43th Birthday as well as hb's sister-Sharlene birthday. So we all go to MIL's place to celebrate for her. We had steamboat and Eugene loves the 'Chang Shou Mian' which MIL cook not to mention me loves too! Sharlene's good friends and boyfriend are also there for the celebration. One of her friend bring along her 2 young kids ( 1 older girl and 1 younger boy) who are a few years older than Eugene. Once they came, both of them gather around Eugene's toys and that the start of the kids' war. They played happily but also too 'roughly' especially with the boy.

Everything ended after the cake cutting and then we procced home at around 11pm.

National Day 09.08.2008

Happy National Day 2008!!!

Decided to work hard and updates more of Eugene often. I feel that i seldom take any pictures of Eugene as i dun have a camera of my own. This came to my mind that my mum is not using her digital camera often so i borrowed from her.

Today is the 1st day i start taking pics for Eugene.

This morning, we decided to go to Burger King at Compasspoint for breakfast. Eugene is quite happy when we reach there. His daddy went to park the car, upon arriving at BK...i let Eugene sit in the baby chair provided at BK. He was ok at first, but after a while he keep asking me to go and buy the food. I told him we had to wait for daddy to come first, but he was still impatient. While waiting for his daddy, i took some pics of him.

Maybe he is thinking " Mummy, can i have my breakfast?"....hahhaaaa

After having his breakfast, we went shopping around Compasspoint and Eugene had a bit of the ice-cream i left for him.

I haven't been posting about Eugene for more than 7 months already. Now seldom take photos when bringing him out as it quite difficult to capture nice pics especially he so active. He also very naughty when we bring him out that each time when we thought of bringing him for shopping...we will have second thoughts. Unless it is really necessary, if not we tried not to bring him to places that are crowded.

The Golden Compass 05.12.2007

Today i got a pair of free movie tickets from my colleague. It was the show that i wanted to see 'The Golden Compass'. Actually wanted to bring Eugene for the movie, but time not allowed as it was too rush. Anyway, i was thinking maybe Eugene will ve scared by the fighting parts in the movie. But i do enjoy this movie...thanks to my colleague which i get to see for free and there also popcorn and coke together.

Standard Chartered Marathon 02.12.2007

Daddy took part in the Standard Chartered 42.195km Marathon. This is not the 1st time he took part in Marathon, but is the first time for the whole Marathon and he took about 5hrs plus to complete. Mummy and granny bring me to Marina Square there to wait for daddy. We were there much earlier so we went for some window shopping but most of the shops there are not yet open for business. So i have some fun in the kiddy rides (but no coins put in).

New Haircut 01.12.2007

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon!!! After taking my lunch, i suddenly have the urge to give Eugene a new haircut. Although it was my first attempt, i do have a little confidence that i was able to give Eugene a new look. I started off by cutting the hair behind, follow by around the ear there....although Eugene kept moving his head but i still manage to do it. After finishing, it feel it was really a great work of mine and i felt so happy.....but there is still somemore to be done. I feel the hair around his forehead is a bit too long so i decide to cut short . On no...what have i done???? It totally went out of what in my mind. I decided to try and see whether i can save what i done. Too bad! Now i need to bring him to the barber liao....

Upon reaching the Malay barber shop, there was 3 barbers busy cutting hair for adults and children. I waited and waited in anxiety, thought it was Eugene's turn but the barber called the other guy so i have to wait again thinking how come nobody want to attend to me. Then another one finished, but still no one attended to me until another barber finished. Then they asked me what i wanted, i showed them my artwork and they decided to shave Eugene bald.

New Food

Recently, Eugene is eating this new multigrain rice for his meals during weekend which at first is not intention for him. It will be porridge for lunch and rice for dinner but sometimes i lazy so it will be porridge for the whole day. This multigrain rice is recommend by my colleague as she said it is quite nutritious compare to the normal white rice we eat. So i decided to give it a try. My colleague teach me to add rice to cook together if not surely not enough and it will finish up very fast.

It was only during when i was having my dinner and Eugene happen to take a mouthful of it and he wanted more that make me want to cook this for him. Afraid that he might not be able to digest all the grains so sometimes i will mix with normal rice.

Eugene version of "Mambo" HAPPY FEET...!!!

Eugene likes the cartoon character of Mambo (not sure spell correctly) in the movie of Happy Feet. When the part of Mambo going to dance, he will prepare himself when he hear the music and then when the music end he will stop. Managed to capture this recently.

Sofa as what it seems to be

I always like to join contests for fun. So i did participated in the National Day Singpost contest and i won the consolation prize. One of the little prize inside was the 'Superman Returns' sofa...which i need to pump a lot of air so that it can become a sofa. This is how Eugene reacts to it..

At the playground 20.10.2007 Sunday

This morning i have a appointment with the dentist. So daddy(Ray) will have to take care of Eugene and this is the activities they have done when i went for my appointment. Ray was said he enjoyed playing so much that he doesn't want to go when i was done at the dentist there. He was crying when i went to find them....

Eugene's New Table and Chair

Recently, there is this Redemption program "Allow Your Child to Grow Naturally with Mamil Gold' which interest me very much. So i decide to support this program. I decided to exchange for the 'Little Tikes Adjust N Draw Table' which i need to accumulate amount of $450 to redeem for the item.

However, to my disappointment when i went for the redemption, it was out-of-stock from Little Tikes and the organiser also not sure when the stock will come. So they substitute featured item with others of similar value and this is what i exchanged in the end. It doesn't seem as attractive as the adjust & draw table but i still decide to exchange as per redemption counter is only given 2 sets as i afraid i might not be able to exchange if i missed the opportunity for redemption.

29 Sept 07 Sunny Morning...

A sunny morning, before we went to have breakfast this is one of the pictures take. He was playing with the Singapore flag that we got from NDP07. He was flagging it so it was not easy to get him to be still for us to take the pic. Finally, hb manage to take it after we settle him on the bench.

Genting Trip 13 - 15 Sept

I was really feeling excited and worried at the same time as this time round we are bringing Eugene for holidays for the first time. I am excited because this is the first time and worried is because dun know how he will behave in the coach. Just pray that everything will be fine!!!

12th Sept 07
We stayed at my parents-in-law's house (Aljunied) as we need to wake up early to go and take the coach at Golden Mile Complex at 7.30am so we need to reach there at 7am to take our tickets.

13th Sept 07
We wake up at around 5.30am to prepare ourselves and also to get Eugene prepared. It's quite cold so we did not give Eugene a bath only wipe for him and changed him into a set of new clothes. Reach Golden Mile Complex at 6plus and hb went to get the tickets. We set off at 7.30am and reach Genting at 2.30pm. Along the journey, Eugene is consider quite obedient except that he like to get down from the seat (he sit on my lap) and over to his daddy's seat.

We finally got our room's key...immediately when we went into the room i helped Eugene to change his diaper becos he poo! After changing we went out to survey the place. We then had our dinner and then went to watch the movie "881". To us, it was really a very nice show. We laughed and also cried while watching the movie. After we return to our room while my PIL went to the casino.




14th Sept 07
Early in the morning, we have a free buffet breakfast. Then we went around viewing and then went to my fave Cantonese restaurant for lunch and had my favourite dessert which Eugene get to taste it too. He also likes it! After the lunch, we went to arcade to play. Wanted to win some soft toy for Eugene but dun have the luck and the horrible thing happen is i lost his bolster. So in the end we bought a new set at one of the shops there if not dun know how Eugene is going to sleep that night.

Then after dinner, hb and PIL went to catch a night movie while i and Eugene went back to hotel to rest.

15th Sept 07
Finally the last day at Genting and we going to take the coach again at 3.30pm. Decided to bring Eugene for some rides.

Cranky ......

Recently these few nights, Eugene been very cranky during middle of the night. I dunno what happened, he just start to cry and toss here and there on the mattress. Sometimes he ok when i put back his pacifier and let him hug his bolster. However, last night anything also can't make him stop crying. Maybe because his bolster doesn't have his smell anymore which he like to hug and smell at it whenever he have that in his arms.

His bolster which we call 'Smelly' in Chinese is really very smelly, a kind of smell which some people might can't stand but is the same smell (my bolster) which i have when i was small too. I really afraid is this reason as the one at my MIL's place also been taken to wash last nite.

Falling Sick - 01.09.2007

Saturday morning, a nice and exciting day to start with as going to bring Eugene to airport to send my mother off to Korea. However, when Eugene woke up he started to have a bit of coughing which we didn't took it to our mind! Hubby touched him in the mid-morning and said he seemed like a bit warm. Took his temp, it was normal.

We set-off to the airport at about 6pm and reached there 6plus. After reaching Terminal 1, we went to the canteen to have our dinner before we to the View Mall. Eugene was quite excited when we were at the View Mall when he saw the water fountain near the glass door there. There he ran after a few older kids when they ran past him. I could feel that he was so HAPPY!

We waited for quite sometime before my mum, dad and brother reached the airport....by that time, Eugene already very tired and had falled asleep! But he woke up soon when i saw my parents and bro....however he started to be cranky due to tiredness and cough. Once again we feel that his body and forehead is warm. So after sending my mum off, we headed straight home. Once reaching home, we gave him the fever med and sponge on him cos his temp is nearly 39c. He kept fussing and crying the whole night and rejected taking his milk. We could only on his fav VCD to stop his crying.

In the end, he finally slept at 4 plus in the morning.

Sunday Morning ~ 12.08.2007

After taking his morning bath, Eugene want me to on his favourite cartoon "Pororo". Few months ago , he still need me to be by his side whenever he watch this cartoon. But now he can sit by himself and finish watching the whole VCD alone...so this let me have some time to do my own things!

11.08.2007 ~ Saturday afternoon - Shopping at Tampines Ikea

Eugene now know how to use a fork although still not very good at it. This is taken when he is having his pancakes as his lunch today.

Not satisfied with his own bowl, he decided to take mine instead...

Asking Daddy to get ready! At Ikea: Nowsaday, it is really very difficult to control his movements when we go out. He doesn't want us to carry him as he wanted to come down and walk/run by himself. Sometimes biscuits can help, but once he finished his biscuits he will want to come down again...making us so tired running after him! This pic show him playing at one of the children's area.

Outing At The Zoo

A Sunny Saturday afternoon, we have a pair of free Zoo tickets from courtesy of hb's colleague. Eugene fall asleep on the way to the Zoo and while waiting for hb to park his car, both me and Eugene waited at the Zoo entrance!

Hubby, MIL , Eugene and i went shopping at Parkway Parade. We was shopping at Giant when we saw a lot of sunglasses so decided to let Eugene have some fun with it!

The birthday cake

Today is both Eugene and mummy's lunar birthday!! We had a mini birthday celebration with only hubby, Eugene and myself. The birthday cake was a simple Chocolate cake which I bought after my work.

Javier was happy before the cake cutting as he was excited to see a birthday cake again. We sang the birthday song and cut the cake. All of us had a taste of the chocolate cake and could see that he loves it !

2nd March 2007

Today is my mummy's birthday. As usual she and daddy went to work but that have taken the afternoon off to book into the chalet arranged for my birthday tomorrow! Daddy treat mummy for a feast at the Sakae Sushi while i am at my Grandma's house waiting for them to come and fetch me after that.

I waited and waited, then at 8 plus then daddy came alone to fetch me and grandma to the chalet. Grandma also make 2 red eggs for mummy for her birthday!

3rd March 2007

Early morning, Mummy and Daddy brought me to McDonald for breakfast. I had some bagel, hashbrown from Mum & Dad breakfast....i enjoyed it cos it is very nice! After that Daddy drove mummy and me back home to bring some items to the chalet and mummy also bought a swimsuit and a tweety bird float for me. They are going to bring me for my first swim later in the evening.

GuGu came at about 2 plus to decorate the room for my birthday!

Chinese New Year 2007!

18 February 2007 - 正月初一

Today schedule is visit my daddy's parents in Aljunied, daddy's godmother in Bukit Panjang and then the last stop is my mummy's grandma at Hougang.

19 February 2007 - 正月初二

Today will visited my Aljunied grandparents cos we are having steamboat tonite. Too bad i am still too small to enjoy the steamboat so i ended up having rice with fish only. This is my first time having rice as my meal, i could not finished it as the rice is a bit too hard for me although mummy already added soup inside.

20 February 2007 - 正月初三

We are going to visit my Yishun grandparents (Mummy's parents). Today i get to see my uncle which i seldom get to meet as he always at work when i came. Today he off so get the chance to meet him and play with him. I had rice again with fish and potato, however today rice is much softer and i managed to finish the whole bowl. ( I was sleeping and Mummy woke me up for dinner! Luckily the dinner was nice if not i am going to kick a fuss out of it!)

Sick again during start of February 2007...

Eugene teething again this time but together with a bit of fever, runny nose and coughing. He did not recover after taking the GP med so in the end we brought him to see the PD cos time was running out as it was close to Chinese New Year. Luckily he recovered before CNY, if not we will have headaches then......

Any differences after 1 week?

This is the 1st time i am making for Eugene. He ok with this, but seems like it a little big portion for him , so in the end he did not finish the whole bowl.

Favourite Place

This is Eugene favouite place in the living room. Everytime, he will make out of a mess playing there. My magazines will be thrown all over the place and his likes to walk around the coffee table using his hands to support on the edge. This is also the place that he fell down the most!

Eugene First X'mas!

This year, Christmas is a bit more fun than last year! Besides Christmas dinner & gift exchange with our friends, we also had the same things with my aunties and uncles.

Today is Daddy's Birthday. He went out with Mummy for a movie 'Happy Feet' at Vivo City. After the movie, he then came to fetch grandma, grandpa and me for a bufftet dinner at Excelsior Hotel.

Lunch Gathering Cum BB Xmas Gift Exchange - 13.12.2006 @ Grand Plaza Park Royal

Today, we had a gathering with my March baby friends at the Grand Plaza Park Royal. I met quite a few of my old friends and i had a good time there. I think i was a bit naughty that day because i only wanted my Mummy to carry me so Mummy did not had much for her lunch while i eaten myself to my fullest.

I had my lunch liao, but i kept perstering Mummy to give me her food too. It was fun meeting my friends again and i also met a few new friends too!

Being A PT-SAHM from 01-07 Dec 2006

Finally, came to the end of being a PT-SAHM. Let me re-cap of what happening for the past 1 week!

Day 1 <01.12.06> Woke up by Eugene early in the morning at 5plus, he doesn't want to continue to sleep so no choice had to attend to him. He then had his cereal and follow by bath at 8 plus. Finally, he felt sleepy and went for his nap.
I had asked my mum to come and accompany because i wanted to bring Eugene to my office in Simei to let my colleagues have a look. We set off at 11 plus after Eugene had his milk. We then had our lunch there and my colleagues took turn to carry and play with Eugene. They all liked him alot and think Eugene also liked them!
We then went home at about 2 plus atter Eugene started being cranky!

Day 2 <02.12.06> We going to one of our friends' house-warming today. Before going to the house-warming, we went to SingTel Charity Carnival at Somerset. Hb bought a bonsai there.
Nothing much happen today....

Day 3 <03.12.06> Hb went for the SC Marathon and came back at about noon time. Around 3pm, we went to IMM for shopping. We bought a fan and a radio there and while hb pushed the items to put in the car and i waited downstairs for him to go for dinner. After a while, Eugene started to wail and cried, the whole scene continued non-stop for about 15-20 min. It stopped when he fallen asleep but re-acted when he woke up again. So we decided to pop in a bottle of milk for him, then he quiten down. It all ended up with that bottle of milk.

Day 4 - 7 <04.12.06>Nothing much happen these few days. My auntie came to visit me with my mum and i took this chance to go Compasspoint to buy the Christmas Gift exchange for the lunch gathering on 13.12.06.

It's time for breakfast!

After Eugene had his breakfast, it is time for his Daddy & Mummy to have their breakfast. We proceed to Rivermall Mall for our breakfast. Then hb bought a new hp each for his parents at Rivervale Mall. We then went home and get ready to go to Suntec City to meet Missy. who going to pass me a can of milk powder for Eugene.

At Suntec, me & Eugene get to meet Missy, her hb and Javier! Wow so Javier is so handsome in his bandana. He even smile at me too and i feel so happy. Eugene did not cried although he so long never met them since the gathering during August!

We ended the day after our dinner at Kopitiam.

HOME SWEET HOME!

At Great-GrandMother's House

Today is a great day for both me & Eugene! His Daddy had gone for a meeting and won't be back until evening time. So i decided to bring Eugene to visit my grandmother who also live not too far nor too near to me. Since i am alone only, i did not bring along his stroller. I just use the baby-carrier and bring him out.

I had to prepare his things before we went out. So i cooked his porridge and put it in the food jar for his lunch when he reached my grandmother's house. I had to take the LRT from my place (2 stations only) to re-take a direct bus to reach my grandmother's house! Inside the LRT, a old uncle tried playing with him but he only keep looking at him. Then we waited at the bus-stop for the bus, waited &waited and the bus only came after 20 mins. What a hot weather waiting so long for a bus.....Then in the bus, Eugene saw my ez-link card and tried to snatch from me. Of course, i dun want to give it to me cos it will end up in his mouth. But in the end, it still ended up into his mouth because he used his sharping voice and started to cry. I was so paiseh so in order to stop it, i had to give him but make sure he only hold it in his mouth.

Usually when we went to my grandmother's house, once we stepped in, Eugene will start to cry. I think is due to he seldom go there. But this time, it was perfect! To my surprise, he did not cried and when my grandmother carry him, he immediately let her carried as well as for my aunties & cousins!

Activites :

We had a self-make popiah session that day. It was so fun making my own popiah, so we were happily making and eating! I enjoyed making my own and for others too. Eugene also did not lose out, he was given the beancurd which we used for the popiah of course only the soft part inside.

After that, it was time for Eugene to have his lunch. Happily take out the porridge , but after a few mouthful he dun want. I think he is full after taking some beancurd so i just make some milk for him. When come to dinnertime, he rejected again!!! I am thinking izzit the porridge i make today not nice so he reject. Luckily i brought along the cereal.

While feeding Eugene, my youngest girl cousin who is 1 year older than Eugene came back. She then had a bath and sit down together with Eugene for her dinner, halfway thru she ran here and there somemore kept throwing Eugene's milk bottle on the floor.....finally his Daddy came around 4 plus & around 7 plus we packed and went home.

This marked the end of the weekend! Looking forward to next weekend.

An encounter @ Parkway Parade

After a whole afternoon of nap, Daddy finally woke up and brought Mummy & me to Parkway Parade for shopping. As it was around dinner time, so Mummy had to pack my porridge in the Tiger Food Jar she bought to bring there for my dinner. It was quite crowded at the food court there but Daddy managed to find seats for all of us sharing with a couple. I think i am quite well-liked so the lady sitting opposite me who i dun know who she is started to play with me when Mummy put me on her lap.

She tried to play with me by using her hands to tap on the table and slowly i also followed what she did.....this move of me made her so happy and this time she stretched her hand over to me. I think she wanted me to touch her hands, so as not to disappointed her, i touched her hand back too!

BORING AFTERNOON - 18.11.2006

Weekend is always the days of the week i am looking forward to! The time that Mummy & Daddy after working for 5 days which they will bring me out shopping together! But my Daddy fall sick few days ago so this weekend I can't get to go out for any fresh air. Only can stay at home and watch Mummy do housework, watch TV and stuck in my walker again.....

Mummy was packing my things and oh no i can feel something bad when i see Mummy keep looking at my Diapers....is she going to repeat what she had done to me months ago????

Mummy, why my Diaper on my head again? Didn't i tell you not to anyhow put things on my head......somemore is a thing that goes under my butt!!!!

Toys

When i went to my MIL house this evening, Eugene's Aunt was playing with him with a new toy that she just bought for him. It is a toy doggie which need batteries to operate and it will turn when it hit something. It will sing a song too! At about 8 plus, her boyfriend came to fetch her to airport as she flying to Paris for a week because she a air-stewardness....

He also bought 2 toys for Eugene, which were a toy car & a fish. Same kind of toys just like what Eugene Aunt had bought! In fact, two weeks ago i also bought the same toy but was a dinosaur. We on all the 4 toys together and guess what he kept chasing after the toy car! Who know his favourite will be the toy car although we all felt that the fish was the most attractive of all four.....Even when his attention was on the other three, but once he saw the toy car, that will be his target! So now we made a conclusion that afterall a boy favourite is the car.

13th November 2006, Monday

Eugene is getting more and more naughty each day. He doesn't seem to like sitting in his walker anymore, he can only sit inside for a while & then he will ask people to carry him. Today he did something that frighten my MIL, he was taking his nap in his sarong, then after about 1 hour, my MIL suddenly heard him crying. She quickly rushed over to the room to see what happen.....oh no, he had flipped over in the sarong and tried to stand up inside using his hands to grab the sarong. Oh no, next time dun dare to put him inside for nap, cos afraid he will fall over if this scene ever happen again.....:(

11th November 2006, Saturday

This morning, bring Eugene to Thomson Medical Centre to see the PD. He has been having runny nose since last Sat. Yesterday nite called the clinic and checked out, luckily Sat the clinic is open. I afraid that there will be lots of patients so i woke up early so that can get a earlier queue number. Finally we got to see the PD in less than an hour. PD said Eugene will be fine after taking the med.

After seeing the PD, then we only went to have our breakfast which was around 10 plus. Then hb send me to meet my mum for shopping at Bugis. I also meet one of the mummies to get something from her. Then i went shopping at the cold storage and saw this biscuits which said for babies from 7 mths. The packaging was very nice and attracted me, so i decided to buy it and let Eugene try. I was afraid that Eugene dunno how to bit, but to my amuse it was gone in a few seconds when put in his mouth!

NEW SUNGLASS

Always wanted to buy a pair of sunglass for Eugene, but whenever we let him try on he will use his hands to try to take off it. In the end, we decided to buy one for him when he is older. Surprisingly today i saw a new pair of sunglass at my MIL's house, i asked and it was Eugene's aunt who bought for him. So i decided to take a few pics of him wearing the sunglass hoping he will quietly let me take a few snaps!!!

Learning to sit up & stand up himself

Nowadays, Eugene is trying to stand to sit-up & stand-up by himself. Everyday no matter at his grandma's house or at home, once we put him on the mattress he will start to crawl and lean on the anything that can support him to stand up.

At his grnadma's house, the mattress will be pushed to lean against the sofa so with the sofa as a supporting, he will quickly crawled over and start to use his hands and legs to make himself stand up and then within a few seconds up he goes onto the sofa.

At home, he espically like to climb to lean against my bed and then let himself automically fell onto the mattress on the floor. He thinks this is fun and will climb up again and go repeatedly doing the same patterns. Both me and hb had a hard time trying to catch hold of him afraid that he will hurt himself but he always ended up smiling at us!

Celebration of Ah Gong's Birthday @ Din Tai Fung

Mummy treating Ah Gong for a meal for his belated Birthday Celebration. Suppose to celebrate on the day itself, but Mummy bringing me to a Gathering with many mummies & babies, so decided to celebrate one week earlier. However, that day Ah Gong can't make it cos he had toothache so it was delayed until now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mummy wanted to treat Ah Gong for a Japanese dinner because it was mummy's fav food as well, so that make 1 stone hit 2 birds! Then Daddy saw the restaurant 'Din Tai Fung' and suggested having a change of food so we all ended up in that so called famous Dian Xin restaurant. While all of them are having their delicious Dian Xin, I am not left out too! Mummy made a very delicious porridge for me which consists of brocolli, carrots and ikan powder.

A story behind.......

This is actually a 'Bo Liao' mummy trying out the Korean New hairstyle for Eugene. A Demonstration sent to me from a colleague thru email! Thought it is just another creation of a new hairstyle for some fun....

When taking this photo, we were laughing how cute he look in this headgear....so it look more like a headgear than the fashion hairstyle. I was the one who laughed the most!





Trying to hold Eugene hands down so that he won't go and pull the headgear out. Finally succeed and he looking at his Daddy curiously who taking the photos for him!

Lonely Times At Home

Sometimes when I am alone with Eugene at home with hubby not around, if i no choice just have to put him in his walker although i dun feel quite safe cos he can just bang into anything. So my MIL asked me to use a nylon string to tie the walker to the sofa leg., leaving some space for him to run about. He doesn't have much toys to play with and he likes to put anything which he hold into his mouth to chew. He especially like chewing on the bib string.......





This walker was passed down to me by my aunt, however she can't find the toys which are attached to it. So we just have to let him play with his toys, then once he get tired of the toys, he will threw all onto the floor. Then i have to go around picking up and put the toys on his walker again and again!

23rd July 2006 Sunday

Today suppose to be a Family Day but Daddy went to pay for the fees for learning guitar. So today left only Mummy to look after me cos Daddy said he wanted to go for some shopping before coming back. Mummy estimated that he won't be coming back so soon as he said since i was born, he do not have much time to go shopping so he must take this chance to go for some window shopping!

Oh, it's eveing time liao....finally the door bell ring and it was Daddy! Wow Daddy had came back with two big shopping bags, wondering what he ahd bought???? It was a electronic keyboard and a big soft toy, i assume it must b e for me lor! But i so small yet how to play with the keyboard so Daddy had the first go and played some demo songs for me to listen!!!!

Dinner time ~ Eugene gonna to have his cereal.......

With my mum's help carrying to feed him as he keep moving !

In the end, with my Mum's help also can't stop him from keep moving. So i had to take over the job of carrying to feed him....finally then he finished all the cereal. To reward him for finishing his dinner, i gave him some plain water!

Our usual routine for weekend in the morning is to bring Eugene out for breakfast , but of course he only can just watch us eat and he only eat his Healthy Times Cereal. He tends to kick a fuss when we put him in his stroller and feed him cereal so i had to attach toys around his stroller to interest him, however it doesn't help everytime so i have to carry him when i had my breakfast!

15th July 2006 Sturday : Just came back from shopping at Suntec City! Before Eugene had his bath, we put him in his cot and took some photos for him. He looks so cute in his 'Winnie The Pooh' romper which his Daddy bought for him when we went shopping when i am preggie. Actually, Daddy wanted to buy separate one instead of Romper but ended up getting the wrong ones. Anyway, i feel Romper is better!
